In 1907 Digby Seymour Brown began to practice as a solicitor in Glasgow and founded the firm which bears his name.
Today Digby Brown is one of Scotland's leading personal injury practices. From our offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Glenrothes we cover the length and breadth of the country. Our expertise in personal injury law, particularly in the fields of catastrophic head and spinal injury is widely acknowledged. Digby Brown is ranked Band 1 for Personal Injury in Scotland by Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession and Legal 500.
Each year we use our experience and expertise to recover millions of pounds in compensation. Digby Brown has been at the forefront in providing access to justice for accident victims by pioneering 'no win, no fee' arrangements and by introducing legal expenses insurance and outlays funding schemes.
The firm has a long and proud association with trade unions and the wider labour movement. Over the years we have successfully represented many thousands of trade union members in connection with industrial accident, road accident and industrial disease claims.
On 1st February 2009 in common with many progressive practices in the legal sector, the Partnership of Digby Brown converted to a Limited Liability Partnership, to be known as Digby Brown LLP. The LLP assumed responsibility for all liabilities and obligations of the existing Partnership.
