Fraser Oliver of Digby Brown’s Executive Board commented: “To be recognised by an esteemed
judging panel as a leading firm is a great compliment and an accolade to be shared among all the
staff at Digby Brown Solicitors who have worked so hard throughout the year. We were able to
post very strong results last year which saw our turnover grow by 18% which is no mean feat in the
current climate. This is wholly attributable to the strength and commitment of our team, our
training, our unbeatable service procedures and results they can deliver to our clients, day in day
out.”
As the majority of Scottish law firms contracted staff and client instructions during 2009,
Digby Brown saw its staff numbers increase by 25% and client instructions up 29% on the previous
year. Further successes included a 22% rise in new litigation cases opened in the last year, a
99.78% success in litigated cases and a reduction in the average length of litigation from 73 weeks
in 2005 to just 31 weeks in 2009, with damages won up 36%.
