Straight Referrals
This is to accommodate the firms who do not wish to remain involved in a personal injury case. They will receive 20% of the Compensate success fee for referrals leading to a successful conclusion. Once Compensate receive 10 cases that are taken on they will receive 30% thereafter.
Referrals will be made by forwarding the client details or in the case of ongoing cases the client file. All referred clients would be contacted immediately upon referral.
Partnership Referrals
The referring firm will remain involved as the principal agent for the client.
The referring firm will take an initial statement then refer it to Digby Brown by email or letter with any other documents provided by the client. Digby Brown will assess the case and if it is deemed to have prospect of success we would arrange Compensate funding. The referring firms will keep all client contacts, and if felt appropriate, take statements, attend consultations and pre-trial meetings. Digby Brown will instruct experts, negotiate with insurers, deal with Compensate and draft the Court papers. You will incur no outlays.
In the event of a successful conclusion, the judicial expenses will be split between the referring firm and Digby Brown on the basis of the work done by each firm, which is calculated by our law accountants, Alex Quinn and Partners.
