Our Credentials
Digby Brown claim to be the number 1 firm of personal injury lawyers in Scotland. We have detailed below some of the reasons behind why we believe this.
-
We are ranked band one and tier one in 2012 by the legal directories: Chambers Guide to the UK Legal profession and Legal 500 for personal injury. Not just for this year but for last seven and five respectively. What does that mean? These directories are the who’s who of legal firm’s across the United Kingdom by region and by area of expertise. They are compiled by interviewing other legal firms and associated organisations on who they know are experts in any chosen legal field.

-
The Law Society of Scotland, our governing body, ranks 11 of the partners in the firm as specialists in the field of personal injury and a third of all the lawyers in Scotland listed by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) work at Digby Brown.
-
Our work in the field of personal injury has been recognised with awards – we have achieved recognition in the field of Litigation in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, winning both Law Awards of Scotland and the Scott & Co Legal Awards across these years. In addition, our work with a variety of charities has been recognised by winning the Corporate Social Responsibility Firm of the Year in 2011.

-
We are recommended as the solicitor of choice by a number of national charities including Spinal Injuries Scotland and Asbestos Action Tayside as well as being listed in legal directories by Headway - the Brian Injury Charity, the Child Brain Injury Trust as well as being leading campaigners in Scotland for safety on our roads, helping Brake, the road safety chairty.
-
We are big. Simple as that, we have five offices across Scotland, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Kirkcaldy and Inverness, which accommodates our 180 staff. Does that matter? As the largest firm of personal injury lawyers in Scotland – we have the required resources both in terms of people, financial muscle and processes to ensure you receive the best service we can possibly offer.
