Blame denied but case was proved in court
Mr D. was referred to Digby Brown by his Trade Union, he worked as a porter and had suffered a back injury after having falling accident on his employers premises while delivering internal mail. A claim was intimated but liability was blame for the accident was denied. His employers refused to accept responsibility for his accident and with the backing of his trade union Digby Brown raised a court action. At proof the Sheriff decided that his employers had been wholly to blame for his accident and Mr D was awarded £4000.
