Sometimes fault in an accident is a combination of factors
Digby Brown acted on behalf of the family of a Mr B. who was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident. The vehicle in front of the motorcycle had made an emergency stop and our client had not had sufficient time to stop before hitting the rear of this vehicle. The case hinged on whether our client was too close to safely stop in time. The case proceeded to court, where fault of the accident was put on the vehicle in front however it was agreed that some fault lay with the motorcyclist, therefore reducing the percentage of financial award.
