Charity Beautiful Inside and Out receive over £19,000 from Digby Brown Ayr

Digby Brown Ayr office nominated local charity Beautiful Inside and Out as their charity partner in 2019.

Beautiful Inside & Out (Scio) support troubled people bereaved parents and siblings of suicide victims through counselling, different types of interactive therapy and drop-in sessions.

Fundraising highlights across 2019 and early 2020 include the gruelling Five Ferries Challenge, a lucky squares competition and they ended their efforts with a Ceilidh and Supper for Burns Night.

The office have raised an incredible £19,040.68 throughout the year after funds were matched by Digby Brown.

"Everyone at Beautiful Inside & Out (SCIO) is absolutely overwhelmed and delighted by the incredible amount raised by the wonderful employees of Digby Brown Ayr. What a fantastic company Digby Brown is, to have also matched the amount raised, bringing the total to an unbelievable £19,040.68.

“Beautiful Inside & Out (SCIO) organise and fund support for troubled people and for bereaved families of suicide victims. These funds pay for an amazing four hundred and seventy-six sessions in counselling, play therapy, drama, art therapy or music therapy. We cannot articulate how grateful we are.

“It is such perfect timing for the charity, to have been given this financial boost, given that we had had to cancel or postpone over fifteen fund-raising events due to the current situation of lockdown and social distancing. At the same time, we are still constantly spending funds on our counsellors and therapists, who are still supporting those who need our help, in a different way, through online platforms or by phone.

“Digby Brown and specifically, Ayr branch, your compassion and generosity shall improve very many lives through our work. Indeed, we know that you shall have helped us to save many lives, by enabling us to fund support for everyone who seeks it. Thank you a million times over.”

The office have nominated Whiteleys Retreat as their charity partner for 2020. This is a new charity in Ayrshire providing free therapeutic short breaks for children, young people and their families with cancer and life altering illnesses
