Neil joined Digby Brown in 2010. He has worked in our firm’s Aberdeen office for over a decade having re-located from Dundee in 2014. He became a Partner in 2018 and has been head of the office since then.

Neil deals primarily with cases arising from road traffic accidents and accidents at work which have occurred in Aberdeen and wider Aberdeenshire. He is regularly instructed in accidents which have, sadly, resulted in fatalities.

Neil has a specialism in dealing with claims arising from the Oil and Gas Industry in the North Sea, including accidents on oil rigs, vessels and other offshore installations.

In 2020 Neil was instructed by the majority of the passengers involved in the Stonehaven Railway Accident. He also represented families of those who tragically lost their lives in the accident.

He is regularly instructed in personal injury Court actions in Sheriff Courts across Scotland but mainly in Aberdeen Sheriff Court and the Courts across Aberdeenshire. He is also regularly instructed in Court actions which are heard in the specialist All Scotland Personal Injury Court and Scotland’s highest civil court, the Court of Session, which are both based in Edinburgh.

Neil is a notary public and is also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
