Settlement of £300,000 for engineer exposed to asbestos

Mr C. was diagnosed with mesothelioma at the age of 59 as a result of exposure to asbestos during his apprenticeship as an Engineer with the Ministry of Defence.  He got in touch with Digby Brown who raised Court proceedings on his behalf and arranged for his evidence to be recorded.  Settlement was achieved at £300,000 a few weeks before the final Court hearing.  On his death, if caused by mesothelioma, Mr C.’s wife and children will be entitled to make their own claims in addition to the damages already recovered.
