A lifeline in COVID-19 deserves a five star review

5 star Trustpilot review for solicitor Craig Brown in our Dundee office from Graeme Cruickshanks

With COVID-19 and a lockdown with no end in sight, someone taking the time to write a five star review on Trustpilot was a positive worth highlighting.

Graeme Cruickshanks wrote:

“I cannot thank Craig Brown enough, he went over and above in my opinion.

“My case was created earlier in the year and in the middle of it Covid-19 pandemic appeared but Craig and the company still worked from home getting my case resolved to a great result.

“He remained in touch throughout the whole process either by email or by call...

“I would completely recommend using this company....”

Graeme’s last 12 months haven’t been the best. He’s a self-employed taxi driver from Dundee who had the misfortune of having his cab hit by a young driver who took a corner too fast. Not only was the vehicle off the road for a couple of weeks but Graeme also sustained an injury to his back.

The young driver admitted fault. Digby Brown organised private physiotherapy and, seven months later, Graeme had made a full recovery. But then COVID-19 hit the UK and businesses began to close their doors. Graeme presumed his case would just be put on hold.

“It was a real struggle. I normally work eleven hour days but it wasn’t worth taking the risk and going out as there was no fares. I was stressed to the max about my finances, everything was getting put on my credit card which was almost to its limit. And I only had £10 in my pocket.

“I honestly expected my case to just come to a halt. I didn’t think Craig would be able to continue fighting on my behalf.

“But then he got in touch to say he was still able to progress my case despite COVID-19 which was welcome news at the time.”

Craig Brown, Associate Solicitor in our Dundee office, who was pursuing the case on Graeme’s behalf commented:

“Although as a firm our offices are temporarily closed, Digby Brown is very much open and everyone is still working, albeit from home, with secure access to all our case files. So, for Mr Cruickshanks’ case, it was business as usual, dealing with the defender and his insurance company.

“And we were able to successfully conclude the case in good time. The money was transferred electronically straight to Graeme’s bank account to avoid an unnecessary trip to the bank.”

As for Graeme, he felt the least he could do was say well done on Trustpilot:

‘It was like a lifeline. It couldn’t have come at a better time. My stress levels have completely dropped.”
