Compensation after client suffers loss of earnings due to accident at work

Man looking out to sea

Digby Brown's client injured his wrist as a result of an accident at work as a painter and decorator.

The client suffered a loss of earnings. He suffered a fractured wrist. We funded a report from a Consultant Hand Surgeon.

The surgeon’s view was that the client was at risk of developing arthritis and would require to re-train into a lighter career.

We funded a report from an employment consultant to consider the client’s prospects of successfully re-training into another job and the time that this would take.

An offer was received from the insurers. We advised the client to reject this offer on the basis that it did not reflect the true value of the case.

We were able to fund a Court action, using no win no fee, on the client’s behalf and the case settled.
