Fisherman receives compensation after disputed claim validity
Mr T. was a fisherman who was injured while fishing. When his leg was caught between a winch cable and a hatch on the deck of the boat on which he was working.
He suffered severe damage to the muscles of his leg and was no longer able to work as a fisherman.
His employer claimed that Mr T. was a share fisherman and couldn’t claim.
A court action was raised and eventually the solicitors acting for the boat’s insurers settled out of court.
