Misdiagnosis of pulmonary embolism causes death to husband and father

Digby Brown's medical negligence solicitors acted for the family of the deceased, MG, in a medical negligence claim in Scotland against Mr G’s local GPs.
Medical negligence of Scottish GP
MG was 34 years old when he sadly died from a pulmonary embolism (PE).
Despite attending his GP surgery with symptoms suggestive of a PE (breathlessness, cough, haemoptysis) the GPs failed to make the correct diagnosis.
Medical negligence claim
In order to succeed, it was necessary for the family to prove that the GPs involved had been medically negligent.
This meant that if they had suspected a PE, they would have referred MG to hospital for investigation which would have saved his life.
Digby Brown's medical negligence solicitors successfully settled the case for a substantial sum.
