Coronavirus, Digby Brown and keeping safe matters
As restrictions lift in Scotland following the Coronavirus outbreak in 2019, we felt it was important to let everyone know what Digby Brown is doing for transparency.
Most importantly we need to tell you that our seven offices are now open again as normal. We have implemented hybrid working, which means our staff can work both in the office and remotely.
For clients, the message is simple. We continue to work on and progress your case. Your legal team have all the required technology, with secure remote access to all case files, telephone contacts remain the same, email and video conferencing can and will be used as appropriate.
We can now meet you face to face if you prefer, or use video conferencing, WhatsApp, and FaceTime for group discussions if this is easier. Please contact your solicitor if you have any questions.
The Courts also have new ways of working to ensure social distancing, with the use of technology to enable remote hearings where possible. We are acutely aware of case milestones and up and coming deadlines which may be affected by this and will act accordingly. Again, if you have any concerns speak to your solicitor.
If your legal representative does contract the virus or becomes unwell, and therefore is unable to work for a period of time, we have a continuity plan in place to allow others to access your files and progress matters.
If you need advice about a new legal matter, our legal enquiry team are still here to help. They are available from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday and 12pm to 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
