Asbestos in roof sheet

Digby Brown has close links with Asbestos Action, a Scottish charity that has been set up to assist sufferers of asbestos related diseases. They are a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation that provide practical support and advice to those who have an asbestos related disease and ensure there is a local service in the East of Scotland to respond to any queries that a person diagnosed with an asbestos condition may have.

The charity was formed by a group of people from the East of Scotland who either have an asbestos related illness or have cared for someone with an asbestos linked condition.

As well as working tirelessly to assist suffers, Asbestos Action campaign to raise awareness of asbestos related diseases. On Friday 5th July, the organisation held its annual Mesothelioma Conference in Dundee.

The conference brought together sufferers of mesothelioma and their families and friends, along with a range of speakers.  This year's speakers included Fraser Simpson, Head of Digby Brown’s Industrial Disease Department, Dr Stuart Schembri, respiratory consultant, Ninewells Hospital, Lynn McAllister, specialist lung cancer nurse, and Brian Blake, laughter yoga guru.
