Digby Brown Ayr Support Ayrshire Hospice Golf Day

Ayr Golf Day

Digby Brown's Ayr Office were delighted to take part and sponsor the Ayrshire Hospice Golf Day on Monday 15th August.

This charity event gave companies and friends the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf at the challenging links course at West Kilbride Golf Club, whilst supporting a great charity doing invaluable work in communities in the West of Scotland.

Ayrshire Hospice helps adults throughout Ayrshire and Arran with life-limiting illness such as cancer, neurological conditions, end stage heart failure and lung disease. They help people when there is no cure for their illness to live as actively as they can for as long as they can and support their family members and close friends as well.

Across Scotland, our offices and Digby Brown teams’ actively support inspirational local charities and are pleased to support a wide range of events throughout the year to raise funds to help them.

Our Ayr team, led by Digby Brown Partner Damian White, support Kilmarnock-based charity The Lauren Currie Twilight and their work on Vasculitis awareness, education, research and patient support within the UK.

At West Kilbride Golf Club, teams of four players contested a Texas scramble format competition with a shotgun start. There were two shotguns, one at 8.30am and one at 1.30pm.

The food provided was delicious with bacon rolls before teeing off, and a delicious meal after the golf.

Damian White, Partner and Head of Digby Brown’s Ayr office, said: “Ayrshire Hospice is a great local charity and we are very proud to support them.

“It was a fantastic day had by all - even the weather was great!”
