Digby Brown Solicitors were delighted to support the Spinal Injuries Scotland (SIS) BBQ and activities day which took place at Castle Semple, Lochwinnoch on Wednesday 29th June.

This fantastic day, now in its second year, gives people with a spinal cord injury the chance to take to the water in a variety of specially adapted vessels, including canoes, sailing boats and speedboats.

Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit attended the day

The event this year was attended by over 100 people and included patients from the nearby Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit to whom the charity provide peer support and advice to on a weekly basis.

Joanna Martin from Spinal Injuries Scotland gives heartfelt speech as she leaves the charity

Joanna Martin gave a short speech and was presented with a hard carved bowl by Ike Curran to mark all the hard work she has done for Spinal Injuries Scotland as she leaves the charity to pursue her athletic career.

Joanna recently won the silver award for the 2 minute rowing time trial at the Invictus Games.
