Head Injury Information Day Dumfries attended by over 200 people

Head Injury Information Day (HIID) - Dumfries

Last week over 200 people attended Head Injury Information Day (HIID) in Dumfries.

This event (held Thursday 28th April), brought together people from across the region affected by brain injuries as well as twenty five support organisations working in the field.

Dumfries & Galloway (D&G) branch of Headway, the brain injury charity, launched “Dare to Care: Your Life, Your D & G”, a year-long safety initiative.

Kathleen McMonagle, Digby Brown’s Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, said:

“It was great to welcome so many people to the event and to have so many fantastic organisations in attendance. No-one has to live with a brain injury alone; there is lots of help and support available locally.

“The Head Injury Information Directory website has been set up as a resource for those affected by brain injury and I hope individuals and families throughout the region find it useful.

“Digby Brown are proud to work alongside Headway and will continue to support the charity’s work over the next year as they roll out their new safety initiative.”
