Pitching in for the Child Brain Injury Trust Family Day

The Child Brain Injury Trust are Digby Brown’s Charity of the Year for 2012 and we’re proud to be supporting a number of events to help this fantastic charity raise vital funds, to help and support children with acquired brain injuries in Scotland and raise awareness of child brain injury.

On Friday 10th August, Digby Brown staff pitched in to support the second of three Family Days being hosted in 2012 by the Child Brain Injury Trust.

Held at Blair Drummond Safari Park, over 120 children and adults enjoyed a Barbeque, entertainment and the chance to visit the Safari Park on a very sunny Friday afternoon.

The day was also a valuable opportunity for children with brain injuries and their families to meet Child Brain Injury Trust staff and volunteers and learn more about the advice and support the Charity offers to families.

Digby Brown sponsored the event and we were delighted that so many families provided positive feedback on how much they had enjoyed the day, including;

“To all at CBIT and Digby Brown!! Thanks for a great day!!”
“I loved it. It is the first I’ve been here on this special day”
“The event was great fun and a lovely gesture”
“Thought it was good food and the balloons were a good idea and thought it was a really good event”
“Fantastic day, been coming for years and it just keeps getting better”

Claire Murray, Regional Fundraising Officer (Scotland) for the Child Brain Injury Trust said;

“The support of Digby Brown helped make this our most successful family day ever – although the fantastic sunshine probably helped as well! Both in the form of sponsorship and their staff volunteers on the day, they’ve been fantastic. The families we work with really appreciate this fun, hassle free day out during the summer holidays.”
