Support for Scottish athletes and sports teams

Winning gold medal

The Rio 2016 Paralympics are underway and we are looking forward to enjoying inspirational performances and exciting action over the next few days.

Joanna Butterfield and Nathan Macqueen will be part of Team GB at these Paralympics. Digby Brown provided sponsorship and support to Joanna, Gold and Bronze medallist at the IPC World Championships in Doho last year, and were privileged to have her speak at our Winter Dinner Dance in support of Spinal Injuries Scotland last November.   Nathan will be taking part in the Men’s Archery competitions and is another athlete we are delighted to have been able to provide support to.

We wish Joanna, Nathan and all of our Paralympians the very best in Rio.

Wheelchair Rugby is another sport that we will be watching closely, as it is one that Digby Brown are actively involved in supporting.

Digby Brown are supporters and sponsors of the Caledonian Crushers Wheelchair Rugby Club. Based in Glasgow, the club has players from all across Scotland who train regularly at the Emirates Arena, one of the venues built for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

With the Paralympics getting underway and Wheelchair Rugby featuring prominently, this week seems a timely one for Digby Brown Partners Chris Stewart and Stuart Barton to meet up with some of the team and present a cheque as part of ongoing support and sponsorship of the club.
