Ayr office raise an amazing £11,800 for Ayrshire Cancer Support

Cheque Handover to Ayrshire Cancer Support

Digby Brown’s Ayr office, located at 24 Sandgate, were delighted to present their chosen charity for 2017, Ayrshire Cancer Support, with a cheque for £11,812.20.

The cheque was given to Laura Brown, Income and Marketing Manager, at Ayrshire Cancer Support by the team at our Ayr office.

Everyone in the Ayr office has been hard at work fundraising over the past year. From holding a race night, raffling off a Hallowe’en Hamper to a Burns Supper Ceilidh earlier this year which raised a fantastic £2,700 alone.

Ayrshire Cancer Support

Ayrshire Cancer Support provide emotional and practical support to those who are living with cancer and their families across the Ayrshire area. They offer an astonishing range of services including a hospital transport service, counselling and various support groups across the region.

Laura Brown from Ayrshire Cancer Support said, “We are astounded by the final figure which Digby Brown have raised for people affected by cancer in Ayrshire. This shows absolute determination by all the staff in the Sandgate office, who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help raise funds and awareness for Ayrshire Cancer Support.”

After such a successful past year the Ayr office are over the moon to be continuing their support for Ayrshire Cancer Support for 2018 and are already planning their fundraising activities for the coming year including gearing up for the famous "Five Ferries challenge". A 53 mile bike ride across Arran and Argyll involving taking five ferries, all within 12 hours.
