Head Injury Information Day another hit in Glasgow

Head Injury Information Day (HIID) - Glasgow

This is the seventh year Digby Brown Solicitors has held a Head Injury Information Day in Glasgow, and this year saw hundreds come along to learn more about brain injury and the support available locally and nationally.

“First time attending this event and found it very informative and interesting. Also very humbling hearing some of the guy’s stories. Good work!”

"Very helpful, ideas, tips and hints on every aspect of coping with the aftermath of injury, helping dealing with the unknown about the queries related to everything."

Head Injury Information Days are a free event which Digby Brown Solicitors organise each year. Our Glasgow event, held on Wednesday 10th May, attracted over 300 people from across Scotland including brain injury survivors, families, carers and people working in this field.

Learning about brain injury services available

More than 30 organisations were in attendance to share information about their services and how they can help offer support to someone after a brain injury, including Headway Glasgow, BIEN Group, Child Brain Injury Trust, Caudwell Children and the NHS.

“Thank you all for organising all of this!"

“You put on a magnificent event once again and we were delighted to be part of it on the day. The number of people who spoke to us throughout the day was definitely more than in past years and the spread of exhibitors and attendees was impressive.

“Personally I usually miss most of the presentations due to manning the stall, but this year what I saw was particularly good and the service user session was beyond anything I have ever seen or heard before! John, Julie and Steven were WONDERFUL!

“It rekindled enthusiasm into a good few seasoned workers, including myself, very much reminding us why we’re involved and the importance of keeping on fighting for head injury services, but most of all it was a privilege to see the three of them speaking!

“So many exclamation marks, but HIIDS was wonderful, thank you!!!!!!!”
