Inverness solicitors take on Macmillan Longest Day Golf Challenge

Inverness office golfing callenge for Macmillan Cancer Support

Our personal injury solicitors based in Inverness took part in the Longest Day Golf Challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, covering 72 holes, 300 shots and a 20 mile walk.

Macmillan Cancer Support has been helping millions of people diagnosed with cancer in the UK since 1911 and our Inverness office were privileged to help them continue making the difference they make today.

A team of three, comprising David McGowan, Ewen Reid and Sarah Newman (pictured below, right to left) took on the challenge at Aigas Golf Course in the Highlands on Saturday 1st July 2017.

So far our Inverness solicitors have raised over £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support, both from online and cash donations, which is fantastic especially considering the challenge the team initially set themselves was to raise £350.

David McGowan, Associate solicitor at Digby Brown Inverness office said: “Cancer is something that affects us all at one stage in our lives so we were keen to get involved with the Longest Day Golf Challenge to support Macmillan Cancer Support.

“It was a far more brutal and challenging day than we expected, but we completed the course in just over 11 hours.

“We are delighted to break the £500 mark in sponsors - and hope to see some more donations trickling in.”
