Rona graduated from the University of Dundee in 2009, attaining her Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Dundee in 2010. Rona spent a year studying at Universiteit Leiden in the Netherlands.

Rona joined Digby Brown in 2011 and qualified as a solicitor in 2013. She spent over 2 years in the our Glasgow office as a personal injury solicitor before transferring to the Digby Brown Edinburgh office in 2014.

She is currently based in our Foreign and Travel Department and deals with a wide variety of accident abroad claims involving Scottish people in foreign countries. She has experience of dealing with all types of accidents, including Road traffic accidents abroad, workplace accidents abroad, general holiday accidents, including package holiday claims, aviation accidents , accidents on sea-going vessels and offshore accidents. Rona also acts for foreign nationals injured in Scotland.

She has experience in both the Sheriff Court and Court of Session. Rona is a Notary Public and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and the Pan-European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL). In 2023 Rona was elected to the PEOPIL New Lawyers Group Board - helping to grow the community of PEOPIL's new generation of personal injury lawyers across Europe.

Rona is a former tutor of Delict at the University of Edinburgh.
