James obtained a First Class Honours degree in History before converting to Law at the University of Glasgow, where he remained to receive Distinction in his Diploma in Legal Practice.
He joined Digby Brown in 2016 as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified as a Solicitor in 2018 before becoming an Associate in 2026. He is based in our Glasgow office.
With experience litigating in the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court and the Court of Session, James deals with fatal accident claims, workplace accident claims, road traffic claims and accidents in private premises. He frequently appears in Court and has run numerous successful Proofs in local Sheriff Courts and the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court.
He is a member of Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
