Careers

Digby Brown Solicitors is a law firm with drive and ambition. Top ranked by both the Chambers and Legal 500 Guides to the UK Legal Profession, we are a firm that is determined to build upon our success.

We recognise that without the hard work and dedication of our people, all that we have achieved so far would not be possible, so we are committed to ensuring that we recruit the right people to maintain the high standards we have set.

We pride ourselves on being an employer of choice that offers challenging and rewarding work, career development opportunities, an open and friendly working environment and a competitive benefits package.

Who are we?

We are Scotland's largest personal injury firm. Each year, we help thousands of people who have had an injury as a result of an accident caused by the negligence of others.

Our goal is to help them achieve fair and just compensation and help them get back to as close to a pre-accident position as possible, as quickly as possible.

Central to this, is our ability to understand our clients’ needs and to deliver service excellence that will lead to the best possible outcome for them. This means that our people require a wide range of skills/competencies and we are committed to providing the training and development opportunities to enable them to succeed.

Our commitment to our clients and the development of our people is reflected in the series of Legal Awards that we have won in recent years, namely; Law Firm of the Year, Employer of the Year, Litigation Team of the Year and Community Contribution.

Investors in People also awarded Digby Brown Solicitors with Platinum level accreditation and we became the first law firm in Scotland to receive Accredited Living Wage employer. We are also ranked in the top 300 most popular graduate employers in the UK.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are passionate about excelling within the field of personal injury law.

Our expertise within personal injury is widely recognised - with departments that specialise in spinal cord and brain injurymedical negligenceindustrial diseases and foreign and travel law. As such, we encourage our staff to tap into their specialist knowledge.

We are always interested to hear from experienced and newly qualified lawyers alike, who feel that they could employ their people skills, commercialism and technical knowledge as part of our continuing success.

We also want to hear from people interested in working in a supporting role too – as support functions such as IT, Administration and Finance play a vital role in our ability to provide quality service to our clients.

What we offer

We offer a diverse range of career development opportunities, as well as a competitive rewards and benefits package. We believe in investing in our people and providing them with a platform to further themselves both personally and professionally.

Each member of our team has an important part to play in the firm’s success. Our solicitors and other fee earning staff take on their own caseload and work to build up an excellent rapport with clients from early in their career with us. We also believe in promoting from within – whether that be solicitors moving to more senior roles, or support staff progressing to other areas of the firm.

The firm has fostered an ethos of professionalism, respect, integrity, and compassion over the years – with a real focus placed on providing support to our staff, through an open and honest culture. We believe that finding a work-life balance is crucial to ensuring the productivity of our people and as such, we think it is important to assist with this in any way that we can.
