Spinal Injuries Scotland is the national voluntary organisation concerned with new and long-term spinal cord injured people, their relatives and friends, along with those involved in the management, care and rehabilitation of the injury.
The charity is based in Glasgow, close to the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit at the Southern General Hospital however serves the whole of Scotland through outreach clinics, local groups and its information line.
On a weekly basis volunteers of the charity visit the unit to offer help and support to both the patients and their friends and family.
