Aberdeen office help raise over £10,000 for Cash for Kids

Solicitors and staff in our Aberdeen office were elated to present a cheque for £10,224.51 to their local charity partner for 2017, Cash for Kids. 

The cheque was presented to Michelle Ferguson, Charity Manager for Northsound Cash for Kids by the team from our Aberdeen office and Maria Robertson from the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen.

From running marathons to hosting a race night, the staff in the office have been incredibly busy fundraising along with the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen. They also registered as one of the collection points for Mission Christmas, where local people could leave gift donations to be given to local disadvantaged children on Christmas Day.

Northsound Cash for Kids

Cash for Kids raises money in the local area to help provide support to local disabled and disadvantaged children. The money raised is used to provide grants to individuals, families, children’s groups, organisations and projects as well as providing essentials for children in poverty.

Michelle Ferguson from Northsound Cash for Kids said:

“I am absolutely delighted to receive this huge donation from Digby Brown and the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen and cannot thank them enough for their brilliant fundraising. Northsound Cash for Kids supports sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and we can only do that through the help and kindness of others. This money will go into our next grant round and will help local children when they need it most. We fund groups and activities and often support children with the basics such as beds, bedding, clothes and specialist equipment for children with special needs.”

After the success of 2017, the team in our Aberdeen office are pleased to announce that they will be continuing to support Cash for Kids throughout 2018 as their chosen local charity.
