Aberdeen solicitors take on challenges for Cash for Kids

Taking part in Tough Mudder 2016

Solicitors in our Aberdeen office have been busy taking part in various sporting challenges to raise funds for their chosen charity of the year Northsound Cash for Kids.

Baker Hughes 10K

Kimberley MacLennan, Trainee Solicitor took part in the Baker Hughes 10K race on 20th May. She managed to finish with a fantastic time of 57.02.

Edinburgh Marathon Hairy Haggis Relay

After a week’s recovery Kimberley also took part in the Hairy Haggis Marathon Relay at the end of May with Jordan McCarter, Solicitor, Amy Shand, Trainee Solicitor and Neil Davidson, Associate. The team managed to smash their fundraising target for both the Baker Hughes 10K and Hairy Haggis Relay, raising a fantastic £540.00 for Northsound Cash for Kids.

Tough Mudder

Lastly, Amy Morgan from our Aberdeen office took on Tough Mudder on 16th June. She completed the 10-mile course which included over 20 obstacles ranging from crawling through mud to climbing a pyramid of hay bales. The challenge was worth it as Amy managed to beat her £100.00 fundraising target raising a grand total of £170.

 

Overall the team managed to raise an amazing £710 for Northsound Cash for Kids, who are a local charity helping disabled and disadvantaged children and young people under 18 across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
