Edinburgh solicitors raise over £6,000 for Fresh Start

The team in Digby Brown’s Edinburgh office were delighted to be able to present a cheque for £6,325 to their charity of 2017 Fresh Start.

The cheque was presented to Jen McQuistan, Corporate Partner Co-ordinator by Carrie-Anne Mackenzie and Kim Catterall our Charity Ambassadors in the Edinburgh Office. Funds were raised over the year through various fundraising activities including numerous bake sales and marathon running.

Fresh Start

Fresh Start was set up to help people who had previously been homeless furnish and decorate their homes through starter packs and assistance with decorating some of the rooms in their new home.

The charity now also offers cooking classes and vocational training to help people previously affected by homelessness to learn essential skills and get their lives back on track and stopping the cycle of homelessness.

“Fresh Start is a fantastic charity offering a lifeline to vulnerable people in our Edinburgh office's community. We have enjoyed getting involved with goods collections and fundraising activities to assist their tremendous work and look forward to supporting them for another year.”

“On behalf of Fresh Start and all our clients, I would like to say a huge thank you to the Digby Brown team for all their fantastic fundraising efforts, we are so grateful for all the support. As a small, local organisation the money raised will make a real difference to the people we support. It will allow us to continue helping people who have been homeless set up their new homes and gain the skills and experience they need to move forward with their lives.”
