Halloween Hamper raises over £600 for Ayrshire Cancer Support

Ayr Halloween hamper

A cancer charity is getting a boost this week thanks to another massive fundraising effort from Digby Brown’s office in Ayr.

The Ayr solicitors put together a Champer Hamper for Hallowe’en, containing 12 bottles of bubbly, and were offering people the chance to win by buying one of 100 squares for £5 each.

The winning square has now been drawn and the lucky winner of the Hallowe’en Spooky Champer Hamper was square 55 belonging to Myra Murray.

Our Ayr office were hoping to raise a further £500 for Ayrshire Cancer Support with the Hallowe’en hamper but they were delighted to raise a massive £610.

This will be added to the £1,700 they have already raised at a charity race night held earlier this year.

Damian White, Partner of Network at Digby Brown Solicitors, said: “Ayrshire Cancer Support is our charity of the year and we are pleased to help them in any way we can for the incredible work they do across the county.

“Cancer is something that affects so many people nowadays and that’s why the money raised in this raffle is so important because people across Ayrshire will know first-hand what it’s like to get help from support groups.

“We would like to thank everyone for digging deep because you’re not just giving a charity money – you’re helping a cancer patient and their families stay strong.”

The latest fundraising effort comes just a week ahead of a glittering ball to celebrate Ayrshire Cancer Support’s 35th anniversary.
