Mental health charity Wellbeing Works receives cash donation from Digby Brown Dundee

Dundee Party in the Park Balloon Entrance

In 2019, our Dundee office announced they were partnering with mental health charity Wellbeing Works in remembrance of Andrew Giel - a previous member of staff who sadly passed away the year before.

Since then, the office has been hard at work putting together various events throughout the year to raise as much as possible for the charity. Some of our most memorable highlights include Party in the Park, a well-attended pub quiz and all members of staff donating a £1 every week for ‘dress down Friday’.

These efforts were not in vain. The staff have raised £8,044.88 throughout the year which will help the charity continue to support people during the coronavirus pandemic and beyond.

Wendy Callander, Executive Director at Wellbeing Works, commented:

“We are so pleased that Digby Brown chose Wellbeing Works as their Charity Partner last year. You have raised an incredible amount of money, which has come at the perfect time for us.

“COVID-19 has meant that we have had to change how we support people who face mental health challenges in our community. The money raised will help us to pay for a weekly pack of information and activities that we can send through the post to help keep our participants motivated and engaged through this challenging time.

“So a huge thank you to everyone in Digby Brown’s Dundee office.”

Robert Kernaghan, partner in our Dundee office, commented on the partnership:

“We are proud to have supported the charity throughout 2019 in their mission to raise awareness and improve mental health across Dundee.

"With COVID-19 and social distancing measures in place, more people will need help from mental health charities such as Wellbeing Works.

“We’re delighted that the money raised can help the charity adapt and continue to support people when they need it most.”

The office have nominated the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Ninewells hospital as their charity partner for 2020/2021.
