Staff raise more than £1,000 for Perth Autism Support after tackling Dundee Kiltwalk

A five-strong team from our Dundee office completed a 20-mile trek from St Andrews to Dundee to raise money for their local charity partner, Perth Autism Support.

The group began the ‘Mighty Stride’ at West Sands in St Andrews in high spirits before making their way through Tentsmuir Forest along with nearly 5,000 other walkers taking part on the day.

Keeping the pace they eventually passed through Tayport and made their way over the iconic Tay Road Bridge before crossing the finish line in Slessor Gardens.

Shannon Beveridge, Advisor in our Legal Enquiry Team, spoke about her motivation for completing the Kiltwalk on Sunday last week: "My brother has autism as well as other complex learning difficulties so being able to raise money and awareness for a charity that supports people like him was a big motivator.

"I was excited going into the walk as I did it last year so knew what I was getting myself into - and I was proud to complete it for such a great cause!"

Perth Autism Support provides weekly social opportunities for young people aged three to 25 diagnosed with autism or sensory processing difficulties. Along with their loved ones, the young people can benefit from a programme of support, training, therapeutic interventions and engaging activities. 

Those that completed the walk raised a fantastic £525 which was matched by the firm – creating a grand total of £1,050 which will go to Perth Autism Support.
