Brian Castle is lead partner of Digby Brown's Regional Office General Personal Injury Litigation (GPIL) department and has been with Digby Brown since joining back in 1996. He became a Partner with the firm in 2002 and was previously appointed to Digby Brown's Executive Board between 2008 and August 2013. 

Brian deals with a wide range of personal injury work on behalf of clients. He litigates in both the specialist Personal Injury Court and the Court of Session and has extensive experience in getting positive results for injured persons or for bereaved families following road traffic accidents, particularly motorcycle, and employers liability litigation. He has significant experience in dealing with accidents involving fatalities – Brian is the lead contact at Digby Brown for BRAKE the Road Safety charity – Digby Brown are an accredited panel solicitor of that charity.  Brian also has a keen professional interest in equine accident cases and has represented many injured riders including a successful case where, following a proof/trial at the Court of Session in late 2025,  a substantial six-figure settlement award was made to a groom injured in the course of her employment. 

Brian is accredited as a Senior Litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is currently the Scottish Regional Co-ordinator for the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS) having held that post since 2016. 

Brian was also a past chair of Headway Tayside, a local branch of the national charity dedicated to support those with acquired brain injury and their families.
