Colin joined Digby Brown in 2008 having graduated from the University of Glasgow. He qualified as a solicitor in 2010, became an Associate in 2015 and became a Partner in 2024.

Colin works in the Digby Brown Glasgow office as part of the non-accidental injury department. He specialises in claims relating to historic child abuse and regularly deals with claims for assault and harassment

Colin has experience in both the Sheriff Court and Court of Session and regularly deals with claims referred by other solicitors from within Scotland and wider afield.

For the last six years, Colin has helped lead Scotland's largest team of specialist abuse solicitors. Colin and the team have successfully assisted many clients who have been victims of sexual assault crimes against some of Scotland's largest institutions such as private schools, churches, charities and the Ministry of Defence.

In 2014 Colin acted for the families in a fatal accident inquiry following a fatal road accident that led to a Bill for Criminal Letters (a private prosecution) in 2015.

In 2017 he was the lead solicitor in the first Jury Trial in the Sheriff court in 50 years.

Colin is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
