Darrell Kaye joined the firm in 2002 as a trainee solicitor after graduating with an LLB and diploma in legal practice from Dundee University. She qualified as a Solicitor and Notary Public in 2004 and was made Partner in 2011. 

Throughout her time at the firm, Darrell has been based in a number of our offices, including Edinburgh and Glasgow. She established and ran our office in Inverness. She is now based in our Ayr office. She has experience of representing individuals from across Scotland, including those with serious injuries.  

Darrell litigates in the Court of Session, the specialist All Scotland Personal Injury Court and the local Sheriff Courts and has extensive experience in obtaining positive results for injured persons or for bereaved families following road traffic accidents, accidents at work and accidents in public places. She has significant experience in dealing with accidents involving fatalities

Darrell recovered significant compensation after a head on collision left her client with life changing injuries. Reflecting on the support received, the client shared, “Darrell was always there to keep me right. She helped me get upfront payments and considered other things that I might need to aid with my recovery in the short-term or in the future." 

Darrell is accredited as a Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is also accredited as a specialist in Personal Injury Law by the Law Society of Scotland. She is the firm’s nominated Equality Lead. She strongly believes in the importance of equality and diversity within the legal profession and is committed to providing a fair and supportive environment within the firm.
