Lauren studied both Scottish and English Law at the University of Aberdeen, graduating with first class honours. Her dissertation examined sexual offences and the safeguarding of children. She subsequently completed the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Aberdeen in 2020.
Lauren joined Digby Brown in 2021 as a Trainee Solicitor before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2023. She is based in the Non-Accidental Injury team in our Edinburgh office.
Following legal changes permitting historic abuse cases to be brought before the courts, Lauren was motivated to join Digby Brown to assist those affected in seeking damages through civil litigation. She has experience in matters relating to historic abuse, workplace assaults and other intentionally caused injuries. Lauren has experience of cases running in both the Court of Session and the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court.
During her studies, Lauren undertook voluntary work with The Aberdeen Law Project. In that role, she worked alongside organisations including Grampian Women’s Aid and Abused Men in Scotland, providing practical advice and support.
