Zara graduated from the University of Aberdeen with an LLB (Hons) in 2012 and gained the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Aberdeen in 2013.
Having joined Digby Brown in 2019, she became an Associate in 2024 and is based in our Edinburgh office.
She has experience of handling a variety of cases including road traffic accidents, work place accidents and accidents in public and private places. She specialises in more complex employer’s liability cases and pedestrian cases where clients have suffered severe injuries. Zara has experience of both pursuing and defending personal injury claims which provides invaluable insight when progressing cases.
Zara has a strong track record of securing substantial settlements for clients who have suffered life-changing injuries. In one case, she represented a client who was injured in the course of his employment while working beyond retirement age. The accident left him with a permanent injury that prevented him from returning to work. Zara successfully secured compensation for his future loss of earnings.
Zara has experience of handling all levels within the Sheriff Court and Court of Session. She is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and also a notary public. Zara is a Trustee on the board of Trustees for the Lawyer’s Christian Fellowship. Zara was on the committee for the Scottish Young Lawyers' Association from 2016 to 2018.
