Digby Brown has close ties with Bobath Scotland, a Scottish charity devoted to improving the quality of life for children and adults with cerebral palsy, including providing specialist therapy services.
Bobath Scotland was the firms Charity of the Year in 2013/14 and we continue to support the charity in a variety of ways.
Stephanie Fraser, CEO – Bobath Scotland: “Without Digby Brown’s continued support of Bobath Scotland and our aims this simply would not have happened and we cannot over-state the importance to our sector and to our clients and their families.”
Cerebral palsy affects approximately one in every 500 children and is caused by damage to the brain before, during or up to two years after birth.
The damage affects the messages sent from and received by the brain and how the brain interprets these messages.
Areas affected can include mobility, communication, fine motor skills, vision, hearing, perception and learning.
