Cerebral Palsy Scotland

Digby Brown has close ties with Cerebral Palsy Scotland, formerly known as Bobath Scotland, a charity devoted to improving the quality of life for children and adults with cerebral palsy, including providing specialist therapy services.

Digby Brown's support for Cerebral Palsy Scotland

Cerebral Palsy Scotland was the firms Charity of the Year in 2013/14 and we continue to support the charity in a variety of ways.

This includes supporting their annual World Cerebral Palsy Day conference which began in October 2014.

Stephanie Fraser, CEO – Cerebral Palsy Scotland: “Without Digby Brown’s continued support of Cerebral Palsy Scotland and our aims this simply would not have happened and we cannot over-state the importance to our sector and to our clients and their families.”

What is cerebral palsy?

Cerebral palsy affects approximately one in every 500 children and is caused by damage to the brain before, during or up to two years after birth.

The damage affects the messages sent from and received by the brain and how the brain interprets these messages.

Areas affected can include mobility, communication, fine motor skills, vision, hearing, perception and learning.

For more information about Cerebral Palsy Scotland, you can contact Cerebral Palsy Scotland on 0141 352 5000 or by emailing info@cpscot.org.uk.
