Ayr office hold Lucky Squares Competition in aid of local charity partner

All of Digby Brown’s offices have been exceptionally busy with fundraising this year, with our Ayr office hosting the latest charity fixture in the form of a Lucky Squares competition. The competition, similar to a raffle, gave everyone who purchased a £5 square the chance at winning one of three fantastic prizes.

The lucky winner who landed the first prize picked up four tickets to Ayr Racecourse, complete with drinks reception, a four-course lunch, afternoon tea and complimentary drinks. 

The second prize was a drinks hamper worth over £150, and the winner of the third prize took home two bottles of prosecco.

All funds raised from this competition went to the Ayr office local charity partner, Beautiful Inside & Out (SCIO).

This Scottish charity support bereaved parents and siblings of suicide victims as well as people with mental health difficulties. They provide counselling and therapy to those in need, promoting feelings of self-worth. 

The competition raised a total of £740 which will help Beautiful Inside & Out (SCIO) continue to support those struggling with such difficult issues. The charity depend greatly on funding, and extended a kind thank you to the Ayr office for their efforts:

“Everyone involved in the work of Beautiful Inside & Out (Scio) are extremely grateful to the Ayr Digby Brown employees for taking part in activities to help fund our services. 

“Following the tragic suicide of 13-year-old Jenna Moriarty, daughter of founder Pauline Moriarty, Beautiful Inside & Out (Scio) was set up to provide counselling, play therapy, music therapy, drama therapy, art therapy and drop in sessions to support troubled people and bereaved families of suicide victims.

“All of the services are funded by the charity so that there is no barrier to anyone receiving support, the Digby Brown Ayr fund-raising ventures shall undoubtedly save lives of troubled people. 

“Thank you from every single person you have helped to save. You are all truly beautiful inside and out!”            

Damian White, partner in our Ayr office, was delighted that Digby Brown were able to contribute to such a worthy cause:

“Helping smaller local charities is incredibly important, and we have been really impressed at what Beautiful Inside & Out has achieved over recent years. The help and assistance they provide to the most vulnerable in society is invaluable. We are delighted to be supporting them this year.”

The Ayr office would also like to extend their gratitude towards Ayr Racecourse and Corney & Barrow Wine Merchants for their support with the competition, as well as the generous members of staff who contributed donations. 

The office will continue to raise money for their charity partner for the foreseeable future, and will be hosting their annual Burns Night event on behalf of Beautiful Inside & Out (SCIO) in February next year.
