Party in the Park for Dundee mental health charity

Dundee Party in the Park Balloon Entrance

Every year, all of our offices nominate a local charity partner to support for the year ahead. Our offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Inverness, Kirkcaldy, Aberdeen, and Ayr organise various fundraising events to raise money for their chosen charity partner, as part of Digby Brown’s ethos to give back to local communities.

This year, each of our offices chose to support a local mental health charity in remembrance of Andrew Giel - a previous member of staff who sadly passed away last July.

To commemorate Andrew, our Dundee office held a Party in the Park earlier this summer to raise money for local mental health charity, Wellbeing Works.

All those who attended enjoyed a day filled with fun activities, such as face-painting, games, bouncy castles and slides. The office also put on a delicious BBQ for all attendees.

We are delighted to say the event raised a staggering £2,245 for Wellbeing Works from ticket purchases and generous donations.

Robert Kernaghan, partner in our Dundee office, shared the firm's enthusiasm in supporting such an event:

"This was a fabulous event organised by Andrew's colleagues and was a lovely tribute too.

"Andrew was a hugely popular individual who is greatly missed by friends, colleagues and family.

"Digby Brown were proud to support staff who organised this event and to do so in aid of Wellbeing Works is a fitting tribute to Andrew who had a real enthusiasm for charity events."

Wellbeing Works are a Dundee-based charity, who promote better wellbeing for those facing an array of mental health issues. They help those struggling to build their confidence, lead a more active lifestyle, learn new skills, and to meet with others through shared interest groups and social activities. Digby Brown are proud to support the charity in their mission to raise awareness and improve mental health in their local community.

The office will continue to raise funds for Wellbeing Works throughout the year, with two more fundraising events occurring later this month. The next event will be a local pub quiz on the 19th September, followed by the Business Fives National Final on the 27th.
