Vivien came to Digby Brown’s Ayr office after she received poor service from her solicitor.

She had been involved in a car accident which left her with PTSD, anxiety as well as loss of hearing in her right ear and vertigo.

“I found it really hard, because the sensation of vertigo would make me wobbly on my feet. I needed to take everything slowly and even now it still impacts on me in the mornings.

“I never met the person looking after my case and with my anxiety I would have appreciated some personal contact.

I decided they weren’t the right solicitors for me so I contacted Digby Brown. Straight away they put me at ease and arranged a face to face meeting to discuss my case.”

Vivien’s previous solicitors had received an offer of £30,000. After we obtained further reports and treatment from medical experts, the insurers made an offer of £50,000. After consideration, Vivien agreed that this was not enough to compensate for the injuries she had endured.

“When the offers came in I never felt pressured to make a decision. Damian would explain everything to me and then I would make the decision.

“It was always clear that he wanted to do the best for me and it was easy to trust him.”

Eventually the insurer made an offer of £75,000 more than double the offer made to her previous solicitors.

“I was delighted with the result. If I had stayed with the original solicitor I wouldn’t have got anywhere near that amount.

“I would definitely tell other people that you can put your full trust in Digby Brown as they know what they are doing and will try their hardest to get the best outcome for you.”
