Location: Online, Zoom

Our first in the new series of CPD webinars, we explored the importance of raising awareness of industrial illnesses.

We welcomed our Industrial Disease Partners, Euan Love and Gary Ross, for a comprehensive look at our specialised department, spotlighting the complexities of managing asbestos-related claims.

Join our expert hosts sharing their experiences using case examples, exploring the challenges as they support clients and their families during the most difficult times and why exposing negligence and getting justice matters.

Our Recover webinars are designed for all solicitors working with people, no matter their practice area, whether working in criminal law, family and child law, succession and estate planning or conveyancing and beyond, and are suitable for all levels of expertise.

Learning Outcomes

  • Overview of industrial illnesses
  • Importance in raising awareness of Asbestos claims
  • Navigating clients through difficult times.

The aim of this webinar is to provide an insight into the world of asbestos litigation at a high level covering the spectrum of asbestos-related diseases and the various types of exposure. In this webinar, we hope to raise awareness of potential remedies for your clients and their families as well as highlight certain situations to be aware of.” - Gary Ross, Partner

Euan joined Digby Brown in 2004 and became a Partner in 2016. He specialised in road traffic and workplace accidents until 2012 when he joined the Industrial Disease department. Since then, he has focused almost exclusively on asbestos disease work, raising actions in both the All Scotland Personal Injury Court and the Court of Session. He works closely with two of Scotland’s asbestos disease charities.

Gary joined Digby Brown, graduating with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Strathclyde in 2010. He qualified as a solicitor in 2013, became an Associate in 2017 and became a Partner in 2023. Focusing on disease work in the Court of Session, Gary deals with asbestos related conditions as well as noise induced deafness, hand-arm vibration syndrome and other associated occupational illness cases.
