Digby Brown has close links with Asbestos Action, a Scottish charity that has been set up to assist sufferers of asbestos related diseases.
From their base in Dundee, they offer free, confidential advice and specialist support to victims of asbestos illness and their families throughout Scotland. They have a dedicated 24-hour answering service to deliver support as quickly as possible, they can answer any question you may have and help you access the benefits you are entitled to.
The charity was formed by people who were either diagnosed with an asbestos related disease or have cared for someone with an asbestos condition. They are here to help.
Digby Brown has supported Asbestos Action since 2002. We offer support in a variety of ways including free welfare and benefits advice to their members, making the charity more accessible to the families that need their services and supporting their events to highlight the ongoing dangers of Asbestos.
Asbestos Action were also Digby Brown's Charity of the Year in 2014/2015. Every pound raised by staff at Digby Brown was matched by the firm, raising a total of £27,375.38. More recently, our Asbestos Disease team took part in a 26-mile walk along the Fife Coastal Path as part of Global Asbestos Awareness. They were joined by Diane Foster at Asbestos Action and together, they raised an incredible £8,000 for the charity.
